Our Story
We let the cloth do the talking
ILARA began with a simple wish: that the piece you keep for the biggest day should still feel like yours on an ordinary one. Everything here is made that way — a kameez cut clean enough to wear to dinner, a kaftan you reach for on a Sunday afternoon, embroidery worked by hand so it reads as detail rather than decoration.
We produce in small runs from London. Tissue silk, raw silk and satin crepe are chosen first; the silhouette follows the fabric, never the other way around. When a size sells, it is usually gone.
Richer than a neutral, quieter than a red — and finished with the kind of detail that carries across a room.
